About me

Hi. My name is Viktoriia Vakulenko.  I currently live in Albany, Oregon. I was born and raised in Ukraine, where I  earned my bachelor's degree in lighting engineering.  In 2012, I got married and moved to North Dakota  from Ukraine.

My interest to oral health began during a personal experience—my first third molar extraction. Also, in North Dakota  I became a friend with a Russian dentist. She inspired me to consider a career in the dental field.  That experience made my desire to pursue dental hygiene as a profession. At that time, the only dental hygiene school in North Dakota was too far from where my family lived, making it impossible for me to attend. However, I did earn my associate degree in science from Williston State College.

In 2020, my family relocated to Albany, Oregon. After completing the required prerequisites, in 2023, I was  accepted into the Dental Hygiene Program at Lane Community College in Eugene.

Throughout the journey of dental hygiene program, I got the greatest support  from my family—my husband and my 8-year-old son. I love beautiful state of Oregon and  it is a big pleasure  to be a part of such an amazing community. I’m fluent in English, Russian, and Ukrainian. I am excited to serve this community as a dedicated dental hygienist and to contribute to improving people’s oral health and overall well-being.
